My affinity for the outdoors was sparked by my Grandad, a passionate gardener who cultivated his own fruits and vegetables. He ignited a passion within me that I never anticipated would shape my career.
In February 2019, I made the decision to leave my job In the automotive industry to pursue my passion, and so Mustard Seed was born. The name was chosen to reflect my beliefs in growth, dependence, and faith.
The business quickly grew beyond a one-person operation as talented individuals with diverse skills and unique personalities joined the team, leading to unexpected success.
In 2021, we ventured into the prestigious world of Royal Horticultural Society show gardens, self-funding a show garden build at RHS Tatton. Our efforts were rewarded with a Silver Gilt Medal. Building on this ambition, we returned in 2022 and secured a Gold Medal, Best in Show, and Best Construction awards, a remarkable feat at any RHS show.
To our astonishment, we were also honoured with the Best Newcomer award at the Association of Professional Landscapers, National Awards later that year.
This rapid progression has fuelled my vision to venture into the redevelopment of neglected buildings, aligning with our core business model of transforming spaces. Looking ahead, the future of the business lies in commercial contracting and grounds maintenance. My intention is to develop these areas to become the industry's best in terms of size and structure.
